REIKI LEVEL 1 CLASS

SAT. & SUN., Sept. 19th & 20th, 2009
10:30am -2pm both days

Sign up early as space is limited.
You need to be present on both days.

Cost: $100-150 sliding scale (covers both days)
Location: Mission/Bernal Heights District, San Francisco

Reiki level 1 teaches the student the basics of this energy healing modality. In this hands-on training students learn the history of Reiki, its applications and how to give hands on treatments to themselves and others. Reiki energy is activated by receiving attunements which allow you to access the Reiki energy easily and naturally. No prior experience in health care or alternative health is required. The workshops are fun, very casual and beneficial to people of all ages and backgrounds. Please wear loose, comfortable clothing.

If you yourself have not had an individual Reiki session, I recommend you schedule an appointment before the first day of class. It's important that you experience receiving Reiki before you begin to learn to administer it to others and to yourself.
Sliding scale fees for Reiki session: $60 - to $80

More about Reiki
Reiki (pronounced ray-kee) means the universal life force energy that resides within and around all living things. It is a gentle, non-invasive yet powerful healing technique that treats the whole person including the body, mind, emotions and spirit. It is relaxing and stress reducing and enhances the natural power of the body to heal itself. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery.

While Reiki is spiritual in nature, it is not a religion and has no dogma. There is nothing you must believe in -- in fact -- Reiki will work whether you believe in it or not! During a Reiki treatment, you will relax, fully-clothed on a massage table while your practitioner gently lays their hands on different parts of your body. Many people report immediate beneficial effects that include deep relaxation, feelings of well-being and a glowing radiance.
