Reiki Level I Workshop

Sat & Sun, March 26 & 27
10am –2pm

Location: Mission District, San Francisco
Cost: $150
Teacher: Ewa Litauer, Reiki Master Teacher

Reiki (pronounced ray-kee) means the universal life force energy that resides within and around all living things. It is a gentle, non-invasive yet powerful healing technique that treats the whole person by enhancing the natural power of the body and mind to heal itself.

Reiki level 1 teaches the student the basics of this energy healing modality. In this hands-on training students learn the history of Reiki, its applications and how to give hands on treatments to themselves and others. Reiki energy is activated by receiving attunements which allow you to access the Reiki energy easily and naturally. No prior experience in health care or alternative health is required. This workshop is fun, casual and beneficial to people of all ages and backgrounds. Please wear loose, comfortable clothing.

If you yourself have not had an individual Reiki session, I recommend you schedule an appointment before the first day of class. It's important that you experience receiving Reiki before you begin to learn to administer it to others and to yourself.
Sliding scale fees for individual Reiki session: $60 - to $80

Top 10 for a Clutter-Free Home

~ in no particular order ~

1.      Before you bring anything into the house, stop and think if you need it and if you have the space to put it somewhere - remember, everything has a home!
2.      Start with 5-10 minutes - focus on one drawer or shelf or cabinet.
3.      Clear a surface – so there is enough space for you to eat, work etc.
4.      Designate a spot for incoming papers – if it doesn’t go into recycling or shredding, it goes into your inbox for further filing (for ways how to create a simple filing system check this out: http://www.themogulmom.com/2010/03/7-paper-decluttering-tips-for-mom-entrepreneurs/ - or ask me for more ideas... )
5.      Designate a spot for things that go to a thrift store and another one for gift swaps, friends, funk trunks etc. And keep these items circulating regularly.
6.      When you buy 1 article of clothing, dispose of 2. Same for jewelery, shoes or anything you have excess of.
7.      Make it beautiful – make your home reflect your personal style!
8.      Make it fun – put on some music, open the windows and bring in some fresh air!
9.      Ask for help – a friend to sit with you when you clear out emotionally charged stuff like an old lover’s things, or get a house cleaner if it helps you stay on top of your chores.
10.  Be kind and gentle to yourself AND make an effort to do your best – find the balance!
